Read by the Frost School of Music Conductor’s Orchestra on April 15th, 2021.

The B section of this piece (0:53) was sketched via an imprint from a mossy rock (picture on video) over score paper, on Yosemite National Park.

Ondinoi (2014)

Ondinoi, for folk guitar. Composed and perfomed by myself.
Ondinoi, para guitarra folk. Compuesta e interpretada por mí.

 

Transilvania (2014)

Composición estocástica (de probabilidad controlada) y evolutiva (donde los motivos derivan de permutaciones consecutivas), para acordeón, armónica, banjo, guitarra, organo, darbouka, bajo y percusión. Está basada en lineas muy generales en el modelo de cuadrícula de Achorripsis de Iannis Xenakis, pero produciendo un resultado musical muy distinto.

Stochastic (controlled probability) and evolutionary (where motives are derived from consecutive transformations of themselves) for accordion, harmonica, guitar, banjo, bass, darbouka, percussion and organ. It based on a grid model similar to the one employed by Iannis Xenakis in his stochastic composition Achorripsis, but it gives a sound result that’s very different from his.
